How to Install a Sump Pump

Every few years the weatherman sends us one of those two-week rainy spells. The inevitable result around my house is a wet basement. Every time it happens I dig out my little portable submersible pump, hook it up to a garden hose, stick it on the lowest part of my basement floor and plug it in.
